OK, so no pictures as promised... sorry about that. Carl has finished painting and all the furniture is in place. We are just waiting on lil' girl's bedding to get here and for Carl to finish the artwork for the walls. Lil' man's bedding arrived yesterday: it is so cute!
Carl is painting a series of 4 animals for the wall above the cribs and Kylah is also painting a picture for the nursery. She is so excited and it is so cute to watch her paint with daddy. So, the family room has once again been transformed into the art studio - drop cloth, paints, canvases everywhere :)
So, once the nursery looks like a nursery and not a work-in-progress (still have stuff everywhere in anticipation of the closet organization project)... I will take pics and post.

countdown...
I am counting down until the school year is over. I love my students and will miss my 8th graders dearly, but... I am ready for some time off!
Last day of school= June 4
Last day to work= June 7
Last day of training/ official day of freedom= June 17
Kylah will be spending 2 weeks at Summer Camp at Chapel Creek while I finish working. So wonderful that Kylah can continue to attend programming at the church. She knows the people and routine so well.
BABIES UPDATE:
They are very active in the evening. They get to sleep ALOT during the day since I am on my feet so much at work. This is deeply upsetting to my students who want to feel the babies move. Its amazing how touchy-feely 8th graders are. I have students begging the babies to wake up all the time. Abby tickles them every chance she gets... Jose has staring contests with the babies... Sandra and Adrianna will just lay their hands on the belly in hopes of movement... I love how intrigued they are.
Me - I am slightly Anemic so I am now taking OTC iron supplements. I was borderline with Kylah and since the twins "are sucking the life out of me..." That is a direct quote from my ob/gyn. She said that is what multiples do - that's what it feels like. I drink more water than I can track, yet am still not fully hydrated. UGH! Oh, and no gestational diabetes, hooray!!! Everything else is great - still have about 2 months left. I will be 28 weeks on Friday... officially in the 3rd trimester!!!
Carl and Kylah started painting the nursery tonight. Always an adventure when you have a 6 year old paint walls :) Carl is planning to paint tonight and tomorrow night, and then finish up on Friday. We will move in the furniture on Saturday and start getting everything else ready.

Yes, I do still know that my blog exists!

How we spent our family Holiday celebration together... breakfast with The Grinch and the ICE exhibit at the Gaylord. Soooo much fun!

We had a great time... we opened presents, had breakfast, and went to the ICE exhibit. Next year's day together will have to be amazing to top this!

boo!

Now, to make plans for actual Halloween! Probably the usual: trick-or-treating to the neighbors' and Mimi's house. Kylah loves answering the door and passing out candy more than walking around. Although, she did see signs for a few parties at the 2 churches near our house...
